The Mural Painting “The Town of the Blue Cats” at Arts Maebashi Cafe (2013)

A prominent creative agency in Tokyo, TokyoDex, who bring art into cities, streets, offices and our lives with  murals, videos, art events and so on, once offered me a chance to design and paint the mural of a cafe in the modern art museum, Arts Maebashi. Because the museum was located in Gunma in Japan, our theme was to make a design based on poems by Sakutaro Hagiwara, a well-known poet from Gunma. We picked out one of his poetry collections called “Blue Cat”, then I designed a city decorated with his words and imaginative vision, hoping for Maebashi City to also be filled with art and imagination by this new art museum.
